La Semaine du Golfe: a celebration of boating in the Gulf of Morbihan

An international maritime event held every 2 years

The Semaine du Golfe brings together 1,200 boats of character and tradition, of all sizes, grouped into 8 flotillas.
Yawls, rowing boats, small traditional yachts, classic yachts, yachts from the 60s and 70s, old fishing and working yachts, classic motor yachts, as well as the great European heritage yachts: three-masters, brigs, topsail schooners, ketches, yachts…
Each flotilla has its own sailing program in the Gulf of Morbihan.

A not-to-be-missed nautical event and a great popular festival

It’s a party in port and on the water! 18 ports in the Gulf of Morbihan welcome the flotillas, including Baden, Larmor-Baden, the old port of Saint-Goustan (Auray), l’île aux Moines, l’île d’Arz, Vannes, Arradon…
In the evening, sailors and spectators gather at the port to enjoy the entertainment and festivities on offer: shellfish and local produce tastings, exhibitions, concerts, music in all its forms, hikes, etc.
From the shore, at the Port Blanc pier or on the water, spectators enjoy the majestic and colorful ballet of the old riggings.

The navigation program:

• Monday, May 26 Opening Parade: During the Opening Parade, the Tall Ships enter the Gulf at around 3pm: an unforgettable moment!
• Tuesday May 27 “Ile d’Arz Day”: Boats dock on the Ile d’Arz. Spectators and sailors get together for a picnic and merrymaking.
• Wednesday May 28 to Friday May 30 Flotilla sailing from port to port.
• Sunday, June 1 The Grand Parade: All the boats leave the Gulf and return as the tide rises: a magnificent spectacle to close this nautical festival in style…
