All season long

  • June 21 – November 3 – Photo Festival in La Gacilly
    The biggest photo festival in France in the streets of La Gacilly (70km from Baden), 35 free exhibitions, 2000 photos! An event well worth the detour. www.festivalphoto-lagacilly.com
  • Festival photo du Mor Braz
    Large-format open-air photo exhibition, free of charge in the towns of Arzon, Houat, Hoëdic, Belle Île (Le Palais), Locmariaquer, Plouharnel, La Trinité sur mer. Find out more on the Festival Escales Photos website.
  • Ostreapolis, the oyster house Open all year round. July and August: 7 days a week, 10am to 6pm non-stop
    April to June and September to mid-November: Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. Closed on public holidays

April and May

  • Sunday, April 13 (to be confirmed) – Color Race de Baden
    Race or hike over 2 courses, 3.5 or 6km, in a festive atmosphere. Participants are sprayed with 100% natural color powder along the way!
  • May 26 to June 1 – Semaine du Golfe
    The Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan is a nautical event in Brittany, bringing together over 1,200 traditional and classic boats every two years. For a week, flotillas sail from port to port in the Gulf, with festive stopovers and entertainment for the public. It’s a unique celebration of Brittany’s maritime heritage in an exceptional natural setting. Events on the water and on land in the ports of Baden, Larmor-Baden, the old port of Saint-Goustan (Auray), Ile aux Moines, Ile d’Arz, Vannes, Arradon… Find out more

In June

  • Dates to be confirmed: Fête de la Mer in Larmor-Baden with nautical and land-based activities.
    Sailing: Parade and flotilla gathering. “Walk on water” paddles gathering. Kayaking, sculling competition with Ty-Plates, swimming.   • 21 June – Fête de la Musique
    Free concerts in town centers, Baden, Vannes, Auray.
  • 22 Juin – Trail des Remparts in Vannes
    Sports, games and entertainment for all the family in the exceptional setting of the ramparts of Vannes. trailvannes.fr
  • June 26 to 29 – The Ultra Marin Raid around the Golfe du Morbihan
    An exceptional sporting event in magnificent natural surroundings, with different routes including the Grand Raid 177km. Find out more about the Ultra Marin

In July

  • July 14th – Local fireworks in Baden, Larmor Baden, Auray…
  • 14 – 20 July – Festival du Conte in Baden
    Tales from Brittany and elsewhere take you on a journey to wonderful worlds. The storytellers come to the Mané Guernehué campsite for a moment of sharing and warm encounters. Link to contesbaden.com
  • 9 – 12 July – Vannes Echos Jazz à Vannes
    Free concerts by jazz greats in the center of Vannes. Link to the website Vannes Echo Jazz
  • July 26 – Women’s Tour de France by bike
    Start of the Tour de France Femmes in Vannes. From the port of Vannes to Plumelec via Plumelec. The finish is at the top of the famous côte de Cadoudal (1.7km at 6.2%). Link to the Tour de France Femmes 2025 website
  • July 27 – Grand Pardon de Sainte Anne d’Auray
    Thousands of pilgrims gather at the Basilique Sainte Anne d’Auray. Find out more about the Grand Pardon de Sainte-Anne d’Auray
  • Dates to be confirmed – Joutes nautiques au port de Saint-Goustan Auray 9h30-19h
    In the port of Saint-Goustan, 24 local teams compete on boats made up of a coxswain, six rowers and a jouster. When the boats pass each other, the jousters try to knock each other down to the cheers of the public.

August:

  • August 1 – 2: Festival au Pont du Rock in Malestroit
    Breton rock bands in a high-energy festival. Au Pont du Rock website
  • August 3 : La Fête des Battages Threshing Festival in Baden
    Exhibition of old trades in the fields, donkeys, entertainment. Free admission. Parade through town at 11:30 am
  • August 14 – 17 : Festival d’Arvor in Vannes
    Festival of Breton culture with dance, Breton music, fest-noz… Fireworks. Festival d’Arvor
  • August 10: Pardon de la Chapelle de Mériadec in Baden
    Traditional festival 2 steps from the campsite, in the village of Mériadec. Free admission.
  • August 1 – 10: Festival Interceltique de Lorient
    10 days of Celtic music with 50,000 artists, musicians and dancers from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Cornwall, Brittany, USA, Galicia… The American Cousins are in the spotlight in 2025. Further information: www.festival-interceltique.bzh
  • August 19, 20, 21, 25, 26 & 27 : Skedanoz in Carnac.
    Les Nuits Scintillantes des Mégalithes (Sparkling Nights of the Megaliths) is a narrative sound and light show at the Alignements du Ménec in Carnac. Two sessions each evening: 10pm and 10:45pm for a 35-minute show. Entrance: Maison des Mégalithes parking lot. Price: €6 (free for children under 3) more
  • End of August: Joutes nautiques in Vannes harbour 10am – 6pm
