The Gulf of Morbihan: an exceptional concentration of islands and islets
The Golfe du Morbihan has been classified as a Regional Nature Park in France since 2014.
The natural beauty of the Gulf, a small inland sea, and its islands, the richness of its heritage, and the unspoilt nature are all assets that will continue to be promoted and protected thanks to this Regional Nature Park classification.
Ile aux Moines is easy to visit on foot, thanks to its 18 kilometers of coastal paths. You can also explore the island by bike, by taking your bikes on board the shuttle bus. You’ll discover its port, beaches and megaliths.
In the village, enjoy a good Breton crêperie.
Île d’Arz‘s 17 km coastal path allows you to walk around the island and enjoy the beaches along the way. Don’t miss the magnificent Berno tide mill and the Marins et Capitaines museum, which traces the lives of the island’s sailors over several generations.
The island is also a great place for windsurfing.

Take to the many hiking trails around the Gulf and observe the wilderness, flora and fauna. Let yourself be guided by the marked trails all around the Gulf, for all levels of hiker. Take your bike out to the islands, visit typical Breton harbors and admire long sandy beaches such as Port Miquel beach or the Grande Plage de l’Ile aux Moines. You’ll also discover wild, deserted beaches like Gored (or le Goret) or Rudel on Ile aux Moines, or La Falaise, Rudevent, Keroland and Brouel on Ile d’Arz.
